How to Customize Your Shipment Orders Online

Our default shipping options in the user interface are USPS First Class Mail and USPS Priority Mail. However, you are welcome to customize your shipment to request other shipping options or add-on services. This can include:

  • Adding insurance to protect your shipment.
  • Changing the shipping courier to UPS or FedEx.
  • Using a non-listed USPS shipping method, such as Express or a more economical method that may not be listed.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1.  Create your shipment order and enter all the details of where you want to direct your mail and/or packages (Send From and Send To sections).

2. Once you reach the step to choose a shipping method, select any of the available shipping methods.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS: If you are shipping internationally, there will be one additional step. The user interface will ask you to enter in your information for Customs. After you complete this, the Special Handling Instructions section will be available.

3. If you are looking to ship with a different courier or method, use the "Special Handling Instructions" section to let us know your preferred shipping courier/method.

  • The special handling instructions that you leave us in the next step will override the USPS shipping method you select when you submit your request.  We will ignore the shipping method and go with what you provide in the instructions if you mention any shipping method upgrades or changes to your order.

Alternatively, if you are requesting add-on services such as insurance or signature delivery, you can indicate this in the same section as well.

If you would like to approve the cost before shipping, simply let us know in the Special Handling Instructions section. Our Shipping Specialists will gladly provide you with a quote via email once they work on your order.

Pending Orders and Shipment History

Your pending orders and shipment history can be found in your "Shipping" folder, as shown below:

Keep in Mind

Cancellations: Customized orders require additional attention from our team, so cancellation of these requests may incur handling fees. Please contact Customer Support should you need to cancel your request.

Once the package is sent out, a confirmation email will be sent out stating that your request has been fulfilled. The confirmation will include your tracking details, if the shipping method includes tracking.

PO Box Delivery: If you are looking to use UPS or FedEx, these couriers will not deliver to a PO Box.

Cut Off Times: Special couriers have a request cut off time at 2 PM (mailbox location time) as we must schedule specific pick ups from our office.

Supported Custom Shipping Methods

  • USPS Ground Advantage (downgrade for packages): Delivery time is around 2-5 business days and includes tracking.
  • USPS Express Mail: Domestic shipments may take 1-2 business days for delivery depending on the destination address. International shipments usually take 3-5 business days, but this is not guaranteed
    • If you would like domestic overnight delivery, you can request to ship via UPS or FedEx.
  • UPS Ground: Delivery usually takes 1-5 business days and comes with point-by-point tracking. This shipping option is available only for shipments within North America. UPS Ground is generally cheaper than USPS Priority Package Service when the weight is 5+ pounds.
  • UPS Standard: This international ground service is the same as UPS Ground, but only available for shipping to Canada and Mexico.  The price will be cheaper compared to air shipments.
  • UPS and FedEx Air:  Domestic shipments usually take 1-3 business days depending on the shipping method. International shipments usually take 3-5 business days. These options come with point-by-point tracking.

How are these priced?

  • Postage costs are determined by the weight and dimensions of your mail and packages.  This is based on the net consolidated weight after we assemble your order.
