Can I use your products to get SAM/CAGE codes?

Recent updates to SAM and CAGE requirements have unfortunately caused issues, preventing many people from applying for SAM and CAGE through our services.

To verify the physical address, applicants need to provide a utility bill or another acceptable document:

Utility bills provided through our TruLease and TruResidence products are in the name of the lessor. This is typical in scenarios where a small office is rented within an office building, with the lessor (i.e. the building owner) occupying the remainder of the building and covering the utility costs. While these utility bills are generally acceptable, there are instances where they may not be. SAM and CAGE applicants must provide a utility bill in their name.

Potential Solutions

Based on the Entity Validation chart and the presentation PDF, you might be able to address the issue by subscribing to the TruLease plan to obtain a commercial physical address. After you have the physical address, you can update your Articles of Incorporation accordingly. Once updated, the revised Articles of Incorporation can be submitted as proof. Please note that the documentation regarding acceptable forms of physical address verification is not entirely clear, so this approach is not guaranteed to work. It is a good idea to double-check the specific requirements or to contact the a SAM/CAGE representative to inquire.

Alternatively, after you have rented an office through TruLease, you can request for a utility bill that's under your company name through our custom utility bill service. Using this option, you can setup your own utility service at your office and then wait for the utility bill to be sent to you. Then you will have a utility bill for proof.
