Can I use TruLease if I don't have a company formed yet?
TruLease is specifically designed for businesses and not for personal use. To be eligible to sign a lease agreement through TruLease for proof of address purposes, you must have a company registered in the United States.
If your company has not been formed yet, there is no need to worry. There are a couple of options to choose from.
First Option
- Subscribe to our TruLease Annual plan.
- Once your Form 1583 has been approved, you will be assigned an office address that you can use to form your company and apply for your EIN. TruLease comes bundled with a mailbox, so you can designate VPM as your registered agent for free if your company is formed in the state where your mailbox is located. You can find more information on how to designate us as your registered agent on our support site.
- Once you receive the formation documents, email them to your account manager to complete the lease signing process.
Second Option
- Sign up for a virtual mailbox plan first to obtain a mailbox address.
- This plan is different than the TruLease plan.
- Use the mailbox address to form your company and apply for an EIN. If the mailbox address is in the same state where you wish to form your company, you will have the opportunity to utilize our free registered agent service.
- Once the company is registered and you have an EIN, you can upgrade to TruLease by selecting a plan and completing the contact form. We will guide you through the process of assigning you a leased address and executing the lease agreement.
