Can I use a mailbox address for Shopify?

Mailbox addresses can be used to sign-up for a Shopify e-commerce store account. However, they cannot be used for Shopify Payments because a physical address is required. Having a physical address is a common requirement for financial related services. 

Our TruLease Plan includes a physical address and will work as proof of physical business address for Shopify Payments.

NOTE: We have heard that Shopify MAY request you to submit a utility bill under your name proving that you, the individual, reside in the United States.  A utility bill under a personal name cannot be obtained through our TruLease service. Our TruLease utility bill add-on is linked to the commercial office that you lease, so it cannot be used for a residential home utility bill.

If you would like to use Shopify and are not based in the U.S. and get into this situation, we recommend using other merchant services like Stripe or Authorize.net instead of Shopify Payments.
