Can I pick up my mail in person?

Yes, you are more than welcome to pick up your mail.  In order to have it ready for you, we request that you submit a “pickup order” at least 6 business hours in advance of your arrival/pickup

Scheduling a Pickup

As VPM is not a retail store, we are not open to the general public.  Therefore, you must create a pickup order ahead of time.

Create a shipment as you normally would for forwarding. For the destination address, use:

Pickup orders MUST be created at least 6 business hours ahead of your arrival.  Otherwise, expedited pickup fees will apply (see below for more details).

While you create your pick up order, please ignore any shipping costs that are quoted to you online.  The user interface can only recognize outgoing orders as "shipments" - select any shipping method you see in our system. As long as the pick up address is noted, your mail will not ship out of our facility, it'll simply be held at our warehouse until you pick it up.

Once a pick up order is created, you can stop by between the hours of 9am-12:30pm OR 1:30pm-4pm, Monday through Friday ( excluding holidays).

If you need to stop by during our lunch hour of 12:30pm-1:30pm, then you must call or email us to make an appointment and let us know you'll be arriving between that time.  We will give you a 15-minute window to pick up your mail.  If you arrive more than 15 minutes later than the appointment time, you will need to come back after our lunch hour to pick up your mail.

Make sure to bring an ID so we can verify your identity.

Should you wish to send someone else in your place to pick up your mail / packages - please include the person's name, exactly the way it appears on their ID, in the Special handling section as you create your order online.  If you forget to do this, email us your pick up order number to help@virtualpostmail.com and let us know who we should expect to pick up your mail.

Expedited Pickups

Effective October 1, 2016, expedited pickup fees will be charged for pickup orders that are created within 6 business hours of pickup.  
In an expedited pickup, we will help you create your pickup order if it hasn't been created yet.  We will prepare your order as quickly as we can, and make a special trip to deliver your mail to our pickup location.  Although we make effort to expedite this process, expect that it will still take at least 20-30 minutes to complete as we need to have your mail picked, prepared, and delivered from another facility.  More time may be needed if you are picking up a large amount of mail.

  • $0.15 per mail item
  • $1.50 per package
Expedite Pickups

Expedited pickups are subject to the following handling fees:

  • $15 expedited pickup fee
  • $0.50 per mail item
  • $3.00 per package

Common Questions

Why is there a new expedited pickup fee?

In July, 2016, we expanded our business and moved our mail processing to a second facility.  All mail storage and processing is now performed at our new processing center.  Due to this move, it is no longer possible for us to serve pickup requests on demand without making special accommodations to have your mail prepared and delivered to our 340 office.  

In order to fulfill pick up requests, mail will have to travel from our processing facility to our 340 office after they’re prepared. We have designated delivery windows to ensure that we can process your pickup orders and have them ready for you at our 340 facility if the order is placed at least 6 hours prior to arrival.

What if I don't have sufficient funds to pay and create a pickup online?

If you do not have sufficient funds to pay and wish to pay with cash in person, then we will treat this as an expedited pickup request.
